Al-Anon Family Groups provide HELP and HOPE for

family and friends of alcoholics.

Al-Anon is an organization of persons whose lives have been
negatively affected by someone else's drinking. We have come together with
the firm belief that by sharing our experiences, strength and hope, we will all
be better prepared to handle the present and go on to a brighter more serene
future.
The sole purpose of Al-Anon is to help the friends and family of the
problem drinker. There are no dues or fees for membership. We are fully self
supporting through our own voluntary contributions.
We believe that alcoholism is a family illness. We understand that we
did not cause the disease, we can not control it and we can not cure it. But,
we friends and relatives of the alcoholic, by changing our own attitude, can
choose recovery and a better life for ourselves while still giving
understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
Al-Anon is a recovery program for families and friends of alcoholics,
whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.
